On my way home tonight, I had the song "Hey Jealousy" by the Gin Blossoms in my head. I haven't heard it in a while, and it wasn't on my ipod so I was stuck with the sound of my singing in my head. I always associate people with songs. I think we all do it, but you might not be willing to talk about it.
This song always reminds me of a certain friend. We grew up together, loved together, and watched each other grow up and live incredible lives. But he always had a knack for just randomly showing up on my doorstep after months of not seeing him. A couple of times he asked to crash, a couple of times we just met at the bar, but our friendship has always been about those random moments. And it was all good. It is still all good.
